INGREDIENTS:

  1. Broccoli - 1 spear
  2. Potato - 1
  3. Chopped Onion - 1
  4. Chopped Tomato - 2
  5. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Oil - as needed
  9. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Remove the stem from broccoli and get the flowers. Break the flower into pieces.
  2. Remove the skin and cut the potato into bit size cubes.
  3. In a pan heat oil. Add sauté the onion. Now add the tomatoes and sauté until they become mushy.
  4. Now add and cook the potato cubes until they are cooked half.
  5. Now add chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, salt  and mix well.
  6. Now add the broccoli and cook this for 10 minutes until broccoli and potato are cooked and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with chapati, sambar rice.
  2. SPEAR: a section of entire head that includes both stalk and floret.
