INGREDIENTS:

  1. Rava - 1 cup
  2. Chopped onion - 1
  3. Chopped Tomato - 1
  4. Chopped carrot - 1
  5. Boiled Green peas - 1/4 cup
  6. Shredded carrot - 1/4 cup
  7. Chopped ginger - small piece
  8. Chopped green chili - 2
  9. Dry chili - 2
  10. Turmeric powder - little or as needed.
  11. Asafoetida powder - a pinch or as needed
  12. Chopped Coriander leaf - for garnish
  13. Salt - as needed
  14. ------------------------
  15. -- For Tempering --
  16. ------------------------
  17. Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp,)
  18. Split bengal gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  19. Split black gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  20. Curry leaf - 1 sprig
  21. Ghee or Oil - 1 teaspoon (tsp.) or as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Dry roast rava to golden brown and keep it aside.
  2. In a pan bring to boil 1 1/2 cup water and keep it aside (rava to water should be 1 : 1.5 cup)
  3. Heat oil or ghee in the pan. add mustard seeds, bengal gram, black gram, curry leaves and sauté until the mustard seeds stop splattering.
  4. Now add onion, ginger, green chili, dry chili and sauté until onion turns translucent.
  5. Now add carrot, green peas, cabbage and sauté.
  6. Now add tomato and sauté until they are cooked.
  7. Now add the boiled water, turmeric powder, asafoetida powder and bring to boil.
  8. Now add roated rava slowly and stirring so that rava does not form lump. Stir and cook until the rava io cooked.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaf and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Quick and healthy recipe can be prepared in 10 to 15 minutes.
