INGREDIENTS:
- Kothamalli (Coriander Leaf) - 1 cup or 1 1/2 cup [washed in water]
- Hot dry chili - 6
- Asafoetida - a pinch
- Tamarind - gooseberry (nellikai) size
- Curry leaves (optional) - 4
- Uluttam paruppu (split black gram) - 1 table spoon
- Oil - 4 table spoon
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 table spoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Salt - to taste
PREPARATION:
- Heat a pan with 2 table spoon of oil, now add Asafoetida , Uluttam paruppu (split black gram), Kothamalli (Coriander Leaves) and cook for 2-4 min until the excess water evaporate from leaves.
- Grind the cooked leaves, tamarind, garlic and salt into a find thick paste.
- In a pan heat rest of oil add mustard seed, when it start to splatter add the curry leaves cook for 1 min.
- Now add the ground paste mix well for 1-2 min and serve.
NOTES:
- Good to go with biryani.
