INGREDIENTS:
- Finely chopped Onion - 2
- Shredded carrot - 2
- Chopped coriander leaves - handful
- Egg - 2
- Idli batter - 1 cup
- Wheat flour - 2 ladle (spoon)
- -- For Tempering --
- Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Split bengal gram - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Spit black gram - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- In a pan heat oil; add mustard seeds, bengal gram, black gram and wait until the mustard seeds stop splattering.
- Now add the onion, carrot, coriander leaf and cook until the onion turn translucent (golden brown)
- In a bowl break the eggs, add sautéed ingredients (onion, carrot..), idli batter, wheat flour salt to taste and mix well.
- Heat the kuzhi paniyaram pan with oil in the kuzhi. Pour the batter into the kuzhi.
- When cooked (turn golden brown) flip over and cook the other side. When cooked on the other side remove them and serve.
NOTES:
- If you like egg you can make with out them.
