INGREDIENTS:
- Rice - 1 cup
- Par boiled rice - 1 cup
- Uluttam paruppu (black gram) - 1 cup
- Fresh Shredded coconut - 1 cup or from 1/2 coconut
- Vendayam (fenugreek seeds) - 1/2 tablespoon (tbsp)
- Salt - to taste
- Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
PREPARATION:
- Soak rice, par boiled rice, vendayam (fenugreek seeds) in water for 3 hours.
- Grind the soaked ingredients into a thick batter (dosai batter conistency) with salt and keep it aside for 12 hours.
- Add the shredded coconut to the batter and mix well.
- Heat the kuzhi paniyaram pan with oil in the kuzhi. Pour the batter into the kuzhi.
- Remove them and serve when they are well done.
NOTES:
- Usually you prepare the batter day before in the evening.
