INGREDIENTS:
- Idli batter - 3 cups
- Finely chopped onion - 1
- Finely chopped green chili - 4
- Finely chopped curry leaves - 5 (optional)
- Finely chopped coriander leaves - 10
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
- Split black gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
- Split Bengal gram - 2 table spoon
- Oil - 4 tablespoon (tbsp) or as needed
- Salt - to taste
PREPARATION:
- In a pan heat oil add the mustard seeds when it stop splattering, add black gram, Bengal gram and cook until they turn golden brown.
- Add curry leaves, coriander leaves and cook for few seconds.
- Now add the onion, green chili until the onion turns into light golden brown.
- Add this sautéed mixture to the idli batter, add salt mix well.
- Heat the kuzhi paniyaram pan with oil in the kuzhi. Pour the batter into the kuzhi.
- Cook them by flipping both sides, remove them and serve.
