INGREDIENTS:
- Old cooked rice - 1 cup
- Tamarind - 1 lemon size
- Onion - 1
- Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
- Split black gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
- Split bengal gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
- Dry hot chilies - 3
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 3 table spoon
PREPARATION:
- Soak the tamarind in water for 15 – 30 min. Make a thick paste from the soaked tamarind. Cut the onion into fine pieces.
- Mix the tamarind paste with the rice and keep it aside for 10 min.
- Heat oil in pan add the mustard seed,split bengal gram,split black gram, dry chilies until the mustard splatter.
- Now add the cut onion and cook until it turns golden brown. Now add the soaked rice.
- Lower the heat and simmer and cook until oil separates from the rice.
