INGREDIENTS:
- Cooked rice - 3 cup
- Chopped tomato - 3 cup
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon (tsp.) Or as needed
- Curry leaf - 10 count
- Coriander leaf - little
- Slit Green chili - 5
- Dry chili - 5
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Asafoetida powder - 2 pinch
- Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cumin seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Split Bengal gram - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Split black gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Roasted peanut - 10 to 20 count.
- Oil - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Salt - as needed.
PREPARATION:
- In a pan heat oil. Now add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Once the mustard seeds stop splattering add Bengal gram, black gram, peanut and roast them.
- Now add curry leaves, dry chili, green chili and sauté.
- Now add tomato, turmeric powder, asafoetida powder, salt and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes or until the tomato sautéed well.
- Now add the lemon juice and switch off the heat.
- Now add cooked rice and mix well until the rice is well coated.
NOTES:
- Cooking time: 5 minutes
- Goes well with chips, varuval.
