INGREDIENTS:
- Plantain - 3
- Fresh shredded coconut - 1/2 cup
- Slit Green chili - 2
- Chopped onion - 1
- Crushed garlic - 3 clove
- -- For Tempering --
- Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Split black gram - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Dry chili - 2
- Curry leaf - 1 sprig
- Oil - as needed
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Steam the plantain and shredded them.
- Grind coconut, green chili into fine paste by adding little water as possible.
- In a pan heat oil; add mustard seeds, curry leaves, black gram, dry chili. Once the mustard stop splattering add the onion, garlic and sauté until onion become translucent (golden brown).
- Now add the shredded plantain, ground coconut, salt and mix well. Cook this until raw smell is gone and little longer (say 3 to 5 minutes) then serve.
