INGREDIENTS:

  1. Zucchini - 2
  2. Split bengal gram - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  3. Finely chopped onion - 1/2
  4. Finely green chili - 2
  5. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Turmeric powder - a pinch
  7. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Oil - as needed
  9. Oil - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Cut zucchini into small pieces (cubes).
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Now add mustard seeds once they stop splattering add onion, green chili and sauté until onion turns translucent (golden brown).
  3. Now add zucchini pieces, turmeric powder, salt, chili powder. Place a lid and cook for 5 minutes or until the zucchini is cooked. NOTE: stir time to time to avoid burning. sprinkle water if needed when you cook the zucchini

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with rasam rice and tamarind  kuzhambu
