INGREDIENTS:
- Potato - 1 cup
- Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Asafoetida powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil - as needed
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Wash and peel the potato and cut them into small roughly equal size dices.
- Heat oil in the pan. add the cumin seeds, mustard seeds and let them crackle.
- Now add Asafoetida powder, diced potato and sauté until the potato is well soaked with oil.
- Now add the turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt to taste and sauté well.
- Cook for 2 - 3 minutes or until potatoes are cooked and then serve.
