INGREDIENTS:
- Greens (spinach,...) - 1 bunch
- Split green gram - 1/2 cup
- -- Roast and Grind --
- Split black gram - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Dry chili - 2
- Asafoetida powder - a pinch
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Roast the ingredients under section "-- Roast and Grind --" and grind them into a fine paste by adding little water as possible.
- Wash and cut the greens and cook them.
- Cook the split green gram in pressure cooker for 3 - 4 whistle. Now add the gram to the cooked greens and mix well.
- Now add the ground paste to the greens and cook for 2 more minutes and serve.
NOTES:
- You can add shredded coconut if you like.
