INGREDIENTS:
- Avarakkai (broad bean) - 250 grams
- Chinna vengayam (onion) or shallots - 3
- Coconut milk - 1/4 cup
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
- Split black gram - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
- Oil - 4 tablespoon (tbsp)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
- Curry leaves (optional) - 5
- Salt - To taste
PREPARATION:
- Cut Avarakkai (broad bean) into 1 inch sizes or fine pieces. Cut shallots into fine pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard and split black gram. when the mustard seed start to splatter. Add curry leaves and cook for a minute.
- Now add the cut shallots and cook until they turn golden brown.
- Now add the Avarakkai (broad bean) cook for 1 min. Add the coconut milk, turmeric powder and salt.
- Stir and cook until the Avarakkai (broad bean) cooked and oil separates then serve.
