INGREDIENTS:
- Avarakai (broad bean) - 1/2 kilo gram
- Mustard seed - 1/2 tablespoon (tbsp)
- Curry leaves (optional) - 5
- Onion - 1
- Hot green chili - 5
- Shredded coconut - 1/2 cup
- Cumin (Jeeragam) seeds - 1/2 tablespoon (tbsp)
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 3 tablespoon (tbsp)
PREPARATION:
- Cut broad bean in to fine pieces. Cut onion into fine pieces.
- Grind shredded coconut, hot green chili, cumin into paste by adding as little water as possible.
- In a pan heat oil. Add mustard seed wait until it start to splatter.
- Add the cut onions, curry leaves and cook until the onions turn golden brown.
- Now add the cut broad beans and cook in low heat until its done.
- Now a the ground cocoanut. Mix and cook until excess water is evaporated or for 3 min. and serve
NOTES:
- When grinding coconut, you can do it without water for better taste.
