INGREDIENTS:
- Rava - 2 cup
- Curry leaf - 10 count
- Coriander leaf - for garnish
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Thinly Sliced onion - 1 big
- Thinly sliced tomato - 2
- Slit green chili - 4 or 5
- Garlic - 10 cloves
- Bay leaf - 2
- Fennel seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Heat oil in rice cooker. Now add bay leaf, fennel seed and sauté.
- Now add garlic and sauté.
- Now add sauté onion + curry leaf.
- Now add tomato, green chili, turmeric powder and sauté.
- Now add 4 cup of water, salt. Cover and cook until it boils well.
- Now add rava little by little and mix. NOTE: Make sure no lumps.
- Now cover the rice cooker and switch to keep warm mode.
- Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until kichadi is cooked. Now add coriander leaf mix well and then serve.
NOTES:
- Cooking time: 15 minutes
- Goes well with sambar, coconut chutney.
