INGREDIENTS:
- Vermicelli - 200 grams
- Ghee - 1/4 cup
- Bengal gam - 1/4 cup
- Water - 1 cup
- Hot green chili - 5
- Onion - 100 grams
- Shredded coconut - 100 grams
- Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
- Curry leaves (optional) - 5 leaves
- Oil - 1/4 cup
- Salt - to taste
- Coriander leaves - 10
PREPARATION:
- Cut onion, green chili.
- Heat oil in a pan, add onion and cook until it turns golden brown. Now add mustard seed, green chili, curry leaves and cook for 2 min.
- Now add the Bengal gam and cook for 1 min. Add water and bring to boil.
- Now add the vermicelli and ghee. Cook until the vermicelli is cooked.
- Now serve the kichadi.
