INGREDIENTS:
- Shredded yellow pumpkin - 3 cup
- Sugar - 1 1/2 cup
- Powdered cardamom - 3
- Turmeric or saffron - 1 pinch (optional)
- Almond - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cashew - 10
- Ghee - 5 teaspoon (tsp.)
PREPARATION:
- Roast the almond, cashew in ghee and keep it aside.
- In a pan heat the shredded pumpkin (no need to add water) cook them until raw smell is gone.
- Now add the sugar and continue cooking.
- Couple of minutes later add the color or turmeric powder.
- Once the sugar is melted and the pumpkin is cooked well. Add the ghee.
- Mix well and cook this for couple of minutes. Now add the roasted almond, cashew mix well and serve.
NOTES:
- You can also add 1 cup of milk and cook. Make sure you reduce it to make a think halva.
