INGREDIENTS:

  1. Egg - 3
  2. Onion - 1
  3. Tomato - 3
  4. Green chili - 2
  5. Garlic - 4
  6. Chili powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  10. Split black gram - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  11. Curry leaf - 5
  12. Coriander leaf - 7
  13. Salt - 3/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  14. Oil - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)

PREPARATION:

  1. Boil the egg and de-shell them.
  2. Chop onion, tomato, green chili into fine pieces. Crush the garlic.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, black grams; once the mustard stop splattering add tomato and sauté for 2 - 3 minutes.
  4. Now add chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, salt to taste, 1/2 cup water and bring to boil.
  5. Now add the egg (you can slit the egg) and cook boiling for 5 minutes. Before you remove from heat add curry leaves, coriander leaves and serve.

NOTES:

  1. Goes well with chapatti, puri, idli, dosai, white rice.
