INGREDIENTS:
- Yogurt or Curd - 1 cup
- Chili powder - 1 or 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Sugar - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- -- Grind to paste--
- Fresh shredded coconut - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Green chili - 2
- Ginger - 1/2 inch
- -- For Tempering --
- Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cumin seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Curry leaf - 5
- Oil - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Salt - as needed.
PREPARATION:
- Grind the ingredients under the section "Grind to paste" by adding little water as possible.
- Now mix the ground paste, salt with the yogurt or curd.
- In a pan heat oil, add mustard seed, cumin seeds, curry leaves and wait until the mustard seeds stop splattering. Now add this to yogurt or curd and mix well.
- Now add the chili powder, sugar to yogurt or curd. Mix well and serve this chutney with dosai or chapati.
