INGREDIENTS:
- Tapioca - 1/4 kilogram
- Finely chopped onion - 1
- Finely chopped green chili - 1
- Finely chopped curry leaf - 5
- Maida flour - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Salt - as needed
- Oil - to fry.
PREPARATION:
- Skin and shred the tapioca and squeeze the all the liquid out of it.
- Now add onion, green chili, curry leaf, maida flour, turmeric powder, chili powder and salt as needed to the shredded tapioca and mix well.
- Now make small balls out of the tapioca mixture and flatten them.
- Heat oil in a fryer or pan.
- Deep fry the flattened balls in batches by making a hole in center to golden brown and serve hot. NOTE: for best result you should keep the oil heat close to 350 degree Fahrenheit
NOTES:
- Trick is to remove as much liquid as possible from the tapioca.
