INGREDIENTS:
- Fiber removed and cubed vazhaithandu (banana stem) - 1 cup
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Cumin powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Black pepper powder - as needed
- Lemon juice - as needed
- Butter milk (watered) - as needed
- Coriander leaf - little
- Salt - as needed

- -----------------------------------
- Mustard seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Curry leaf - little
- Oil - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
PREPARATION:
- Soak the vazhaithandu (banana stem) in butter milk for 5 to 10 minutes. Drain the butter milk and keep it aside
- In a pressure cooker add the vazhaithandu (banana stem), turmeric powder, salt, 2 cups of water and cook for 3 whistle. Once pressure is released filter the water from vazhaithandu (banana stem). In a blender grind the vazhaithandu (banana stem) by adding the cooked water to a paste. Add this paste to the filtered soup.
- Heat the soup and bring to boil.
- In the mean time heat oil in a pan. add mustard seed, curry leaves. Once they stop splattering now add this to boing soup.
- Now add cumin powder, salt, black pepper powder, lemon juice to soup and mix well. Before removing from heat garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
NOTES:
- Healthy soup with fiber.
- Soup also cool your body.
