INGREDIENTS:
- Quail thigh - 4
- Sliced Onion - 2
- Yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Coriander leaf - 10
- Mint leaf - 10
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Black pepper powder - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Chili powder - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Oil - 3 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Salt - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
PREPARATION:
- Marinate the quail thigh by adding turmeric powder, 1/4 cup of yogurt, 1 teaspoon (tsp.) of salt for an hour. After marinating for an hour wash the thigh and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan. Now add garam masala powder, curry leaves and sauté for 15 seconds.
- Now add onion and sauté for 3 minutes or the onion turns translucent.
- Now add the quail thigh's and sauté for 4 minutes.
- Now add ginger, garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
- Now add the chili powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, salt as needed, rest of the yogurt and sauté for 4 to 5 minutes so the quail thigh's coated well with masala.
- Now add 1/4 cup of water.
- Place a lid and cook until the oil separates and serve. NOTE: stir time to time to avoid burning.
