  1. Quail (kadai) - 2
  2. Finely sliced onion - 1
  3. Finely chopped tomato - 2
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  5. Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Curry masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Finely chopped green chili - 1
  8. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  9. Mint leaf - 10
  10. Oil - 1/4 cup
  11. Salt - to taste


  1. Heat oil in pan; add onion and until it turns golden brown.
  2. Now add tomato, green chili, ginger garlic paste, chili powder, turmeric powder, curry masala powder and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Now add the quail, mint leaves and mix well until the quail meat is coated well.
  4. Add 3 tablespoon (tbsp.) water, salt to taste.
  5. Cover and cook until the quail is cooked well by stirring from time to time. (should take around 15 minutes) and serve.


  1. Goes well with biryani, ghee rice
