INGREDIENTS:
- Foxtail millet (thinai) - 1 cup
- Moong dal - 1/4 cup
- Jaggery - 1 cup or as needed (depending on you sweet taste)
- Camphor (pachai karpooram) - less than a black pepper corn
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Cashew nut (roasted in ghee) - 6
- Ghee - 3 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Water - 2 cup
- Salt - a pinch
PREPARATION:
- Clean and wash oxtail millet (thinai), moon dal.
- Pressure cook for 4 whistle oxtail millet (thinai), moon dal, water, 1 tablespoon (tsp.) ghee and salt.
- Melt jaggery and add this to the cooked millet along with cardamom powder, ghee, camphor and mix well.
- Garnish with cashew nut and server hot.
