INGREDIENTS:

  1. Mutton pieces - 1/4 kilogram.
  2. Chopped onion - 1
  3. Ginger garlic paste - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  4. Fresh Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
  5. Chili powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  6. Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Cumin seed powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Oil - 75 milliliter or 0.3 cup
  9. Salt - as needed
  10. -------------------------------------------

  12. ------------------------------------------
  13. Cinnamon stick - 2 count
  14. Bay leaf - 2 counts
  15. Cardamom pod - 2 count
  16. Clove - 2 count

PREPARATION:

  1. In a pressure cooker heat oil. Now add all the ingredients under the section "-- For Tempering --" and sauté them until aroma is released.
  2. Now add the chopped onion, ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
  3. Now add water as needed and pressure cook for 7 to 8 whistle. Once pressure is released add garam masala powder, cumin seed powder, chili powder, tomato puree, salt NOTE: add little water as needed as mutton will release water as well.
  4. Now cook the rogan josh and bring to boil. Once the raw smell is gone. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

NOTES:

  1. you can also use ghee instead of oil
