INGREDIENTS:
- Vermicelli - 1 packet (250 grams)
- Ground (finely chopped) mutton (lamb or goat) meat - 150 grams
- Tomato - 2 small
- Mint leaves - 10
- Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
- Ginger paste - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
- Garlic paste - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
- Hot chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
- Saffron powder (optional) - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp)
- Ghee - 50 grams
- Oil - 1 tablespoon (tbsp)
- Onion - 1
- Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
- Cloves - 1
- Cardamom - 1
- Garam masala powder or chicken masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp)
PREPARATION:
- Cut onion and tomato into small pieces. Clean, cut mint leaves, coriander into small pieces.
- Heat ghee, oil in a pan. Add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom and cook for 1 min.
- Now add cut onion and cook until it becomes golden brown.
- Now add the ginger and garlic paste and cook until the raw smell is gone.
- Now add coriander powder, chili powder, saffron powder, Garam masala powder or chicken masala, ground(finely chopped) mutton and cook for 5-8 min.
- Now add 2 cups of water ( might differ from vermicelli to vermicelli ) bring to boil.
- Add the vermicelli, cover with heavy lid ( or place a big object as lid) simmer and cook for 5 min in low heat.
- Remove from heat and serve.
