INGREDIENTS:
- Mochai (or) Thatta payaru (or) Chick Peas - 1 cup.
- Chopped Carrot + Chopped green beans + Chopped potato - 1/2 kilogram
- Fennel seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cinnamon stick - a piece
- Clove - 2
- Curry leaf - from 1 sprig
- Chopped onion - 1
- Chopped brinjal (egg plant) - 2
- Chopped drum stick - 1
- Chopped tomato - 2
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil - as needed
- salt - as needed

- Ginger - a small piece
- Garlic - 10 clove
- Green chili - 2
- ----------------------------
- -- Grind to paste 2 ---
- ----------------------------
- Shredded Coconut - from 1/4 coconut
- Roasted gram - a handful
- Cashew nut - 6
PREPARATION:
- Soak the Mochai (or) Thatta payaru (or) Chick Peas by submerging in water overnight.
- Grind the ingredients under section "-- Grind to paste 1 ---" to fine thick paste by adding little water as possible.
- Grind the ingredients under section "-- Grind to paste 2 ---" to fine thick paste by adding little water as possible.
- In a pressure cooker add the soaked Mochai (or) Thatta payaru (or) Chick Peas, mixed vegetable (Chopped Carrot + Chopped green beans + Chopped potato), salt and cook them.
- In a pan heat oil. Add cinnamon stick, clove, curry leaves and sauté until the curry leaves stop splattering.
- Now add the paste you made in section "-- Grind to paste 1 ---" (i.e. ginger + garlic + green chili) and sautae until the raw smell i gone.
- now add the chopped onion and sauté until they turn translucent (golden brown),
- Now add the brinjal (egg plant), drum stick and sauté for couple of minutes.
- Now add chopped tomatoes, water as needed.
- Now add chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt. Bring to boil and cook until the vegetables are cooked.
- Now add the coconut paste and bring to a good boil. i.e. boils one time don't keep it more time.
- Remove from heat add coriander leaves mix well and serve.
NOTES:
- Goes well with plain rice and chapatti
