INGREDIENTS:
- Idli - 15
- Tomato sauce - 1/4 cup
- Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Finely chopped Onion - 2
- Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Fresh coconut paste - 1/4 cup
- Fennel seed powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Curry leaf - 8
- Split black gram - 2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil - 1/4 cup
- Salt - 1/2 tablespoon (tbsp.)
PREPARATION:
- Break the idli into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, black gram, curry leaves. Once the mustard stop splattering add onion and sauté until they become translucent.
- Now add the chili powder, salt as needed and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Now add the tomato sauce and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Now add coconut paste, turmeric powder and sauté for 15 minutes. i.e. bring to boil and cook for 15 minutes
- Now add the idli pieces and mix well until they are coated with masala and serve.
