INGREDIENTS:
- Nethili meen (Anchovies fish) - 10
- Chopped onion - 3 small
- Chopped tomato - 4
- Chopped Brinjal (Eggplant) - 4
- Chopped drumstick - 1
- Cut potato - 3
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.) or as needed
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.) or as needed
- Chili powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.) or as needed
- Tamarind - 1 lemon size.
- -- For Tempering --
- Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Fenugreek seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Fennel seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Sesame oil - 3 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Salt - to taste
PREPARATION:
- Soak tamarind in a cup of water and get a think juice.
- Heat the oil in a pan, add the cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and fennel seeds and wait until they start to splatter.
- Now add the onions, curry leaf and cook until onion turns golden brown.
- Now add the tomatoes and cook until oil separates.
- Now add the brinjal, drumstick, potato and sauté well.
- Now add the tamarind juice, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, salt to taste and mix well.
- Now bring this to boil until the raw smell is gone and the vegetables are cooked well.
- Now add the Nethili meen (Anchovies fish) cook for 5 min and serve.
