INGREDIENTS:
- Fish - 1/2 kilogram
- Soy flour - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Finely chopped tomato - 2
- Finely chopped onion - 1
- Finely chopped garlic - 10 cloves
- Finely chopped ginger - 1 inch
- Coconut milk - 3 cup
- Chili powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Coriander leaf - 1/2 bunch
- Cinnamon stick - 2 inch pieces
- Cardamom - 2
- Cloves - 5
- Oil - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Salt - to taste
PREPARATION:
- Add turmeric powder, half of chili powder, corn flour, salt to taste mix well and marinate for 1/2 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan; and fry the fish half cooked and keep it aside.
- In the same pan add cinnamon stick, cardamom, cloves, onion and sauté until onion turns golden brown.
- Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell is gone. Now add tomato and cook until oil separates.
- Now add coconut milk, turmeric powder, rest of the chili powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, salt to taste, water as needed and bring to boil.
- Now add the fried fish and cook until the fish is cooked and the right consistency for the kurma is reached.
- Now add the lemon juice, garnish with coriander leaves. Remove from heat and serve.
NOTES:
- If you want thick kurma, instead of coconut milk you add ground coconut paste.
