INGREDIENTS:
- Fish - 1/2 kilogram
- Chili powder - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Coriander powder - 5 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Lemon - 1
- -- Roast and powder --
- Black pepper - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Dry chili - 4
- Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Spit bengal gram - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Spit black gram - 3 teaspoon (tsp.(
- Curry leaf - 8
- Oil - 1/4 cup
- Salt - as needed.
PREPARATION:
- Squeeze lemon juice. add chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt as needed and make a paste. Add this paste to the fish and mix well. Marinate this for 1 hour.
- Dry roast the ingredients under "-- Roast and powder --" and grind them into a fine powder.
- Coat marinated fish pieces with the roasted powder on both sides and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a skillet. Place the fish on the skillet and fry them both side to golden brown and serve. NOTE: adjust the flame for better result.
NOTES:
- Goes well with sambar rice, korma or by itself.
- For better result fry in batches.
