INGREDIENTS:
- Carp fish - 1/2 kilogram
- Finely chopped garlic - 12 cloves
- Fish masala powder - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Finely chopped tomato - 3
- Mango - 1/2
- Vadagam - 1 teaspoon (tsp.) (optional)
- Tamarind - 1 small lemon size.
- Salt - 1 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil – 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
PPREPARATION:
- Chop mango into small pieces.
- Soak tamarind in a cup of water and mash then take 1 1/4 cup of tamarind juice. (add 1/4 water before you squeeze the tamarind juice)
- Add fish masala powder, salt to taste, 1/2 garlic, green chili, tomato to tamarind juice mix well and keep it aside.
- In a pan heat 3 teaspoon (tsp.) of oil; add vadagam, rest of the garlic and sauté until garlic turn golden brown.
- Now add the tamarind juice and bring to boil. Boil this until raw smell is gone.
- Now add the fish and cook for 5 more minutes.
- then add the mango; simmer and cook for 8 more minutes. Remove from heat and serve.
