Muttai podimas (egg podimas) recipe

INGREDIENTS:

1. Egg - 4
2. Finely chopped onion - 1 big
3. Finely chopped Tomato - 2 small
4. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
6. Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
7. Black pepper - 3 + 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
8. Mustard seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
9. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
10. Curry leaf - little
11. Chopped coriander leaf - a handful
12. Oil - as needed
13. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

1. Heat oil in a pan. add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Once they stop spattering add onion and sautae until they turn translucent (golden brown).
2. Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
3. Now add tomato and sauté until they are half cooked. Now add turmeric powder, 3 teaspoon (tsp.) of black pepper, salt and sauté. Once tomato is fully cooked break the eggs and add them. Stir and cook until egg is cooked and all the moisture is gone to podimas consistency.

NOTES:

1. Goes well with white rice, chapatti, dosai.
