INGREDIENTS:
- Wheat rava - 1/2 kilogram
- Rice flour - 1/4 cup
- Shallot (sambar onion) - 10
- Cumin seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Ginger - a small piece
- Dry chili - 5
- Chopped Curry leaf - little
- Coriander leaf - little
- Oil - as needed
- Salt - as neeeded
PREPARATION:
- Wash the wheat rava well in water. Drain water and keep it aside.
- In a blender or mixer add shallot (sambar onion), cumin seeds, ginger, dry chili and grind them well. Now add the soaked wheat rava and grind to coarse.
- In a bowl add grounded rava, rice flour, chopped curry leaf, chopped coriander leaf, salt. water as needed and make a batter like we do for dosai. Note: make sure no lump are formed. Keep this aside for at least 15 minutes
- Heat iron dosai skillet and coat with oil. Take a ladle of batter and pour on to the skillet and spread to thin round circular sheet. Once cooked at the bottom sprinkle oil around the dosai then flip the dosai and cook the other side and serve.
NOTES:
- Quick and easy to cook for breakfast or dinner.
