  1. Rava - 1 cup
  2. Rice flour - 3/4 cup
  3. Maida flour - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
  4. Finely chopped onion - 1
  5. Finely chopped Ginger - 1 inch
  6. Cumin seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Green chili - 1
  9. Finely chopped Curry leaf - 5
  10. Finely chopped Mint leaf - 5
  11. Oil - as needed.
  12. Salt - to taste


  1. Roast the rava to light brown. Grind the rava along with black pepper, green chili once a blender (mixer)
  2. In a blow add the rava, rice flour, maida flour, onion, ginger, cumin seeds, curry leaves, mint leaves, salt to taste, 4 cup of water and make a thick batter (like dosai batter).
  3. Keep the batter for 20 minutes.
  4. -- Making Dosai --
    1. Heat the flat iron skillet or non-stick tawa pan well.
    2. Pour a spoonful of batter in the center, spread with the back of the spoon to a thin round.
    3. Once this side is cooked, flip over and cook until the dosai is cooked on the other side. Remove and serve the rava dosai.
