INGREDIENTS:
- Rice - 3 cup
- Black gram - 1 cup
- Flattened rice (beaten rice) - 1 cup
- Fenugreek seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil - as needed
- Salt - to taste
PREPARATION:
- Soak rice in water for 4 hours. Drain water and keep it aside.
- Soak black gram and fenugreek seed for 4 hours. Drain water and keep it aside.
- Soak flatten rice (beaten rice) for 4 hours. Drain water and keep it aside.
- Grind Soak flatten rice (beaten rice) to a batter by adding water as needed.
- Now grind soaked rice, soaked black gram to a dosai batter by adding water as needed.
- Mix the batter by adding salt to taste as needed. Keep it overnight to ferment like 12 hours.
- When ready to cook. Beat in the batter well
- Heat the flat iron skillet or non-stick tawa pan well.
- Pour a spoonful of batter in the center, spread with the back of the spoon to a thin round.
- Pour a tsp. of ghee or oil over it. Remove with spatula when crisp.
- Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
