INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken drumstick - 900 grams
- Vinegar - 1 tablespoon (tsp.)
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.) or to your spice level
- Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Lemon juice - from 1 small lemon
- Egg - 1
- Yogurt | curd - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Maida flour or wheat flour - 1/2 cup
- Peanut oil - for frying (a cup)
- Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
PREPARATION:
- In a pan add chick legs and vinegar. Mix well and marinate for 5 minutes. Now wash them with water. Strain all water from the leg pieces. Make small cuts in the leg piece. NOTE: This will help chicken pieces absorbs spices when marinating.
- Now add chili powder, black pepper powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, yogurt or curd, salt to taste. Mix well and marinate for 15 Minutes.
- Now add the egg, Maida or wheat flour. Mix well, refrigerated and marinate for 2 to 4 hours. When your are ready to fry them, remove from refrigerated and bring them to room temperature.
- Heat the peanut oil to 350° degree Fahrenheit. Deep fry them until done and serve. NOTE: add 3 4- leg piece at a time so the temperature of the oil does not go down fast. You can use cooking thermometer to see if the deep part of the meet that is 175° degree Fahrenheit.
NOTES:
- Keeping 350 ° the oil through out cooking will make it crispy and juicy inside
