INGREDIENTS:
- Vermicelli - 1 cup or 200 grams
- Ground chicken - 100 grams
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Finely chopped onion - 1
- Finely chopped tomato - 1
- Slit green chili - 2
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Yogurt or curd - 4 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Coriander leaf - 10
- Mint - 6
- Oil - 4 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Heat oil in a pan. Now add onion and sauté until it turns translucent (golden brown).
- Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
- Now add the ground chicken and sauté for 1 minute.
- Now add the tomato and sauté for 1 minute.
- Now add chili powder, green chili, yogurt or curd, garlic, coriander leaves, mint leaves, garam masala powder, salt as needed and sauté for 1 minute.
- Now sprinkle water. Simmer and cook for 5 minutes by placing a lid. Time to time stir to avoid burning. Cook this until oil starts to separate.
- Now add 1 1/2 cup or 300 milliliter of water and bring to boil.
- Now add the vermicelli, mix well. Reduce the heat to medium. Simmer and cook for 5 minutes or until the vermicelli is cooked.
- Before you remove from heat (stove), add the lemon juice mix well and serve.
NOTES:
- Instead of ground chicken you can use mutton but the mutton has to be pressure cooked before used as substitute for chicken.
