INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken pieces - 1 kilogram
- Curd - 1 cup
- Chopped onion - 1
- Lime - 1
- Cardamom - 5
- Cinnamon - 1 piece
- Red chilies - 7
- Garlic - 12 cloves
- Black Pepper - 10
- Ginger - 1 piece
- Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cloves - 5
- Poppy seed - 1 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil - 3 tablespoon (tbsp.)
- Salt - as required
PREPARATION:
- In a bowl add chicken pieces, curd, turmeric powder, salt. Mix well and marinate this for an hour.
- Grind ginger, garlic into a fine thick paste by adding water if needed.
- Dry roast cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, black pepper, cumin seed, red chilies. Grind these in to fine this paste by adding little water as possible.
- In a pan heat oil. Now add chopped onion and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté until raw smell is gone and oil starts to separate.
- Now add the roasted ground paste and sauté until oil separates.
- Now add the chicken, lime juice, salt, water if needed and cook until oil separates then serve. NOTE: added water for you masala thick ness preference.
