INGREDIENTS:

  1. -- To Fry --
    1. Boneless chicken pieces - 1/2 kilogram
    2. Maida flour - 1/2 cup
    3. Corn flour - 1/4 cup
    4. Egg - 2
    5. Ginger garlic paste - 1 Teaspoon (tsp.)
    6. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    7. Salt - as needed
    8. Oil - to deep fry
  2. -- For Curry --
    1. Finely chopped onion
    2. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
    3. Tomato sauce - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    4. Soy sauce - 2 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    5. Corn flour - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
    6. Salt - as needed
    7. Oil - for tempering.
  3. Scallions (spring onion) - 1 small

PREPARATION:

  1. Remove all the moisture from the chicken pieces.
  2. In a bowl add chicken pieces, maida flour, corn flour, egg, ginger garlic paste, chili powder, salt. Mix them all together until the chicken pieces are well coated add little water if needed. Keep this marinated for 1 hour then deep fry them and keep it aside.
  3. Now to make curry heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion and sauté until the onion turn translucent (golden brown).
  4. Now add tomato sauce, chili powder, soy sauce, salt as needed (warning: soy sauce usually has salt in it so be careful) and sauté them.
  5. Now add 1 1/2 cup of water and bring to boil.
  6. In 1/4 cup of water dissolve the corn flour without lumps and add to the boiling curry. Once the curry thickness add the fried chicken and cook for 5 more minutes in simmer and serve with finely chopped scallions
