INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken - 1/2 kilogram
- Potato - 2
- Chopped tomato - 2
- Thinly sliced onion - 2
- Slit green chili - 4
- Shredded coconut - 1/4 cup
- Chopped coriander leaf - 20
- Curry leaf - 10
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Coriander powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cardamom - 2
- Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
- Clove - 3
- Oil - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
PREPARATION:
- Skin the potato and cut into 4 cubes.
- Grind coconut into a fine paste by adding little water as possible.
- Marinate chicken by adding garam masala powder, salt to taste for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan; add onion sauté for 45 seconds. Now add cinnamon stick, clove, cardamom and sauté until it turns golden brown.
- Now add chili powder, turmeric powder, garlic paste, ginger paste and sauté until raw smell is gone (45 second).
- Now add tomato, green chili, curry leaves, coriander leaves and sauté for a minute.
- Now add the marinated chicken and mix well.
- Now add potato, coriander powder, salt to taste, one cup of water and mix well.
- Cover and cook for 8 minutes.
- Now add coconut paste and continue cooking for 6 more minutes. After 6 minutes remove from heat; garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
