INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken pieces - 1/2 kg
- Mutton masala powder - 1 packet
- Chopped Onion - 100 grams
- Sliced Green Chilies - 10
- Sliced Tomato - 150 grams
- Curd - a cup
- Ginger - 50 grams
- Garlic - 25 grams
- Coconut - half a coconut
- Fennel seeds - a pinch
- Cinnamon - a small piece
- Cloves - a few
- Chopped mint leaves, Coriander leaves - for garnish
- Ghee - 50 grams
- Oil - 50 mililiter
- Salt – to taste
PREPARATION:
- In a bowl add chicken pieces, mutton masala powder and mix well. Marinate this for an hour or to your preference.
- Grind ginger, garlic to a fine thick paste by adding little water if needed.
- Grind coconut, fennel seeds to the ground thick paste by adding little water as possible.
- Heat oil in a wok. Add cinnamon, cloves. After few seconds add chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent.
- Now add the tomatoes and sauté until the oil separates.
- Now add marinated chicken, ginger garlic paste, salt and cook this until the chicken cooked. NOTE: add water if need so the chicken don't get burnt.
- Now add the coconut paste and bring to boil.
- Now add the cup of curd. After couple of minutes stir.
- Now add the ghee and cook.
- Once the kurma turns read. Garnish with coriander, mint leaves and serve.
