INGREDIENTS:

  1. Chicken pieces - 1/2 kg
  2. Mutton masala powder - 1 packet
  3. Chopped Onion - 100 grams
  4. Sliced Green Chilies - 10
  5. Sliced Tomato - 150 grams
  6. Curd - a cup
  7. Ginger - 50 grams
  8. Garlic - 25 grams
  9. Coconut - half a coconut
  10. Fennel seeds - a pinch
  11. Cinnamon - a small piece
  12. Cloves - a few
  13. Chopped mint leaves, Coriander leaves - for garnish
  14. Ghee - 50 grams
  15. Oil - 50 mililiter
  16. Salt – to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. In a bowl add chicken pieces, mutton masala powder and mix well. Marinate this for an hour or to your preference.
  2. Grind ginger, garlic to a fine thick paste by adding little water if needed.
  3. Grind coconut, fennel seeds to the ground thick paste by adding little water as possible.
  4. Heat oil in a wok. Add cinnamon, cloves. After few seconds add chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent.
  5. Now add the tomatoes and sauté until the oil separates.
  6. Now add marinated chicken, ginger garlic paste, salt and cook this until the chicken cooked. NOTE: add water if need so the chicken don't get burnt.
  7. Now add the coconut paste and bring to boil.
  8. Now add the cup of curd. After couple of minutes stir.
  9. Now add the ghee and cook.
  10. Once the kurma turns read. Garnish with coriander, mint leaves and serve.
