INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken - 1/4 kilogram
- Sliced Onion - 2
- Chopped Tomato - 1
- Slit Green chili - 2
- Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cumin seed powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Fennel seed powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
- Coriander leaf - 10 or from 2 stalk (stem)
- Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Cook the chicken as dry as possible (no liquid) by adding water as needed, ginger paste, garlic paste, 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.) turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.) chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) black pepper powder, 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.) cumin seed powder, fennel powder. NOTE: chicken by itself will release water so be careful when you adding water.
- In a pan heat oil, now add cinnamon stick, onion, green chili and cook until the onion turns translucent (golden brown).
- Now add the rest of ginger garlic paste and cook until raw smell is gone.
- Now add rest of the turmeric powder, chili powder, black pepper powder, cumin seed powder and sauté.
- Now add the cooked chicken, lemon juice and mix well until the chicken is coated well.
- Place a lid. Simmer and cook for 10 minutes (or until oil separates) and serve.
