INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken pieces - 1/2 kilogram
- Chettinadu masala powder - 3 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cinnamon stick - 1 inch
- Cloves - 1
- Cardamom - 1
- Slit Green chili - 4
- Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Chopped Tomato - 250 grams
- Finely Chopped Onion - 250 grams
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil - 1/4 cup
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- In a pan heat oil. Now add cinnamon stick, clove, cardamom and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Now add the chopped onion, green chili and sauté until the onion turns golden brown.
- Now add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become mushy.
- Now add the ginger paste, garlic paste and cook until oil separates.
- Now add the chicken, turmeric powder, salt and cook the chicken it 3/4 cooked. (add water if needed usually chicken will sweat some water)
- Now add Chettinadu masala power and cook until the raw smell is gone.
- Continue cooking the Chettinadu chicken curry until the oil starts to separate and the right thickness is achieved.
