INGREDIENTS:
- Shredded carrot, beet root, potato - 1 1/2 cup
- Finely chopped onion - 1
- Finely chopped tomato - 1
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Cooked chickpea (chana) - 1 cup
- Bread slice - 6
- Unsalted butter - for toasting
- Oil - as needed
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Grind cooked chick pea in a blender or mixer.
- Heat oil in a pan, now add the chopped onion and sauté until they become translucent (golden brown).
- Now add tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
- Now add the carrot, beetroot, potato and sauté them. Once the vegetables are half cooked add turmeric powder, chili powder, salt and cook until the vegetables cooked and becomes mushy.
- Now add the ground chick pea to the cooking vegetables and cook until they mix well and become a thick paste.. NOTE: if it becomes too dry add little water to make it a paste.
- Take a bread slice and coat one side with the some paste. Now cover the coated side with another bread slice (like a sandwich). Now toast the sandwich both side to golden brown in butter coated skillet and serve.
- Make more sandwich with rest of the bread slices.
