INGREDIENTS:
- Squid - 1/4 kilogram
- Chopped onion - 2
- Chopped tomato - 2
- Chopped garlic - 8 cloves
- Chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Salt - as needed
- -- For Tempering --
- Fennel seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Curry leaf - 1 sprig
- Oil - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Heat oil in a pan add fennel seeds, curry leaves. Once the fennel seed stop splattering add onion, salt and sauté until onion turn translucent.
- Now add chopped tomato and sauté until the tomato turns mushy.
- Now add chili powder, turmeric powder, 1/4 cup of water and bring to boil. (cook until raw curry smell is gone)
- Now add squid and cook for 2 minutes then serve.
NOTES:
- Goes well with rice.
