INGREDIENTS:
- Squid - 400 grams
- Potato - 150 grams
- Onion - 2
- Fennel seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Fenugreek seed - 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Curry leaves - 10
- Curry masala powder - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Water - 1 cup
- Oil - 2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Salt - to taste
PREPARATION:
- Clean and cut the squid into rings or small pieces.
- Add turmeric powder, salt to taste, curry masala powder to squid mix well and marinate them.
- Slice onions. Cut potato into fine pieces.
- In a pan heat oil, add mustard seed, fennel seed, fenugreek seed. Once the mustard seed start to splatter add the onion and cook until it turns golden brown.
- Now add the marinated squid, ginger, garlic paste and cook until the raw smell is gone.
- Now add the potato, 1 cup water and mix well. Simmer and cook for 15 minutes until the potato is cooked well. Remove the curry form heat garnish with curry leaves and serve. NOTE: stir time to time so the curry does not get burnt.
