INGREDIENTS:
- lady's fingers or okra - 7
- Shrimp - 15
- Tomato - 3
- Shallot or small onions - 5
- Curry leaves (optional) - 10
- Hot green chili - 3
- Tamarind - 1 small lemon size
- Shredded coconut - 1/4 cup
- Hot chili powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
- Salt - to taste
- Vadagam (optional) - 1 teaspoon (tsp)
PREPARATION:
- Cut onions, garlic, tomatoes, hot green chili into small pieces. Soak the tamarind and get 1 cup of juice.
- Cut the lady's fingers or okra into 2 inches size.
- Grind the shredded coconut. add ground coconut, hot green chili, hot chili powder, tomatoes, garlic, shallot to the tamarind juice mix well.
- Heat a pan add the lady's fingers or okra and fry for few min. (don't let it burn) and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add vadagam, curry leaves and cook for 1-2 min.
- Now add the tamarind mixture and boil for 1 min. now add the Lady's fingers or okra, shrimp, salt to taste and cook until okra is cooked.
