INGREDIENTS:
- Shrimp - 1/4 kilogram
- Curry leaf - 8
- Finely chopped onion - 200 grams
- Finely chopped tomato - 200 grams
- Slit green chili - 4
- Chili powder - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Coriander powder - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Oil - 1/4 cup
- Salt - as needed
PREPARATION:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, curry leaves and sauté until onion turns translucent (golden brown).
- Now add tomato and sauté until oil separates.
- Now add green chili and sauté green chili turns color.
- Now add chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and sauté until oil separates by sprinkling water if needed. NOTE: adjust the flame as needed
- Now add the shrimp, salt as needed and sauté until oil separates and the shrimp is cooked. Before you remove from heat garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
NOTES:
- You can squeeze a 2 teaspoon (tsp.) of lemon juice before your remove from heat as well.
- Goes well with sambar rice, curd rice.
