INGREDIENTS:

  1. Shrimp - 1/4 kilogram
  2. Curry leaf - 8
  3. Finely chopped onion - 200 grams
  4. Finely chopped tomato - 200 grams
  5. Slit green chili - 4
  6. Chili powder - 3 teaspoon (tsp.)
  7. Coriander powder - 4 teaspoon (tsp.)
  8. Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon (tsp.)
  9. Oil - 1/4 cup
  10. Salt - as needed

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, curry leaves and sauté until onion turns translucent (golden brown).
  2. Now add tomato and sauté until oil separates.
  3. Now add green chili and sauté green chili turns color.
  4. Now add chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and sauté until oil separates by sprinkling water if needed. NOTE:  adjust the flame as needed
  5. Now add the shrimp, salt as needed and sauté until oil separates and the shrimp is cooked. Before you remove from heat garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

NOTES:

  1. You can squeeze a 2 teaspoon (tsp.) of lemon juice before your remove from heat as well.
  2. Goes well with sambar rice, curd rice.
