INGREDIENTS:
- Vathal Or Turkey Berry or Vegetable or Pea nut or chick pea - 1/4 cup
- Tamarind - 1 big lemon size
- Sambar powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Mustard seed – 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Split bengal gram – 1/4 teaspoon (tsp.)
- Asafoetida powder - a pinch
- Curry leaf - 10
- Sesame oil - 5 teaspoon (tsp.)
PREPARATION:
- Soak tamarind in cup of water and make a thick juice out of it.
- In a pan heat oil; add mustard seed, split bengal gram, curry leaves, asafoetida powder once the mustard stop splattering add Vathal Or Turkey Berry Or Vegetable or Pea nut Or chick pea and sauté for a minute.
- Now add the sambar powder and sauté until the raw smell is gone.
- Now add the tamarind juice; cook until raw smell is gone and thright thickness is reached and serve.
